Animal Crossing MMO Heading to Wii?
The rumors originate from Edge magazine, which apparently cites an unnamed Japanese source that confirmed the game as a "social networking MMO."
Lending credence to the idea is that Animal Crossing, with its networking-based gameplay and fun-for-all-ages attitude, seems perfectly suited to the MMO format. Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS already included limited online connectivity features, allowing players to visit each other's towns and share copious amounts of fruit.
