Next Fatal Frame Coming to Wii, Killer 7 Developer Producing

5
Tecmo's freaky horror series Fatal Frame will make its next appearance on Nintendo's Wii, the company told 1up. Perhaps even more bizarre, Killer 7 developer Grasshopper Manufacture will produce the title as soon as the avant garde studio has finished worked on its first Wii title, the beam sword hitman-themed title No More Heroes.

Fatal Frame series designer Keisuke Kikuchi will of course return for the Wii title, aided by Grasshopper Manufacture's eccentric Goichi Suda, known as Suda 51. The Shack recently previewed Grasshopper's own No More Heroes at the Tokyo Game Show and came away with fairly positive impressions, implying the developer will at least be able to aid Tecmo in its second Wii outing.

Thus far, Super Swing Golf, which Kikuchi produced, marks the only Wii title Tecmo has released for Nintendo's platform. The previous three Fatal Frame titles have all retailed for PlayStation 2 or Xbox. Tecmo didn't give an estimate of when the Wii-specific survival horror title would hit shelves.

???? I wonder why they choose this platform.

Must be for making profit... who knows?

I wonder if No More Heroes will branch out to the 360 or ps3 down the line?

Most likely, no. Grasshopper has no tradition of porting games.

It ported Killer 7 to PS2 from GameCube. It's currently porting its first adventure title to DS. But since it's so Wii-specific, it just seems unlikely the game will be released on other platforms.

Well that was my thaught as well.

Blast that f$#% controller! MS should just release an identical controller for the hell of it so that certain cool software titles do not mis out on the full potential on the HD systems.

I really wonder why MS doesn't put out a total nock of of the Wii controler, the PS3 is all ready half way there with there's. Would be so intresting what would happen to the industry if SONY and MS did this.

But when all is said and done I prefer the regualr controller any ways.

Oh well, looks like I will have to get No More Heroes Wii style.

It couldn't be that the controller lends it self to awesome first person gameplay. Nah, must be because they are whores and want money.

It's still a slightly risky move for them to bring a M rated game to the Wii, not as guaranteed a market as the 360 at this point. So I applaud them for that.
