XBLA Clearance Sale This Week, No New Titles

7
Rather than slipping some unfortunate indie developer's game under the ten-ton juggernaut of Bungie's almost-here Halo 3, Microsoft won't be debuting any new Xbox Live Arcade titles this week. Instead, the company has temporarily slashed the prices of three "favorites" by 25% for one week only.

Gamers bored with using their Xbox 360s to play the platform's most anticipated title can score PixelStorm's Bankshot Billiards 2 for 900 Microsoft Points ($11.25), Digital Eclipse's updated Frogger for 300 Microsoft Points ($3.75), and Silver Creek Entertainment's Hardwood Spades for 300 Microsoft Points ($3.75).

The sale runs from 7 PM CDT Thursday to 6:59 PM CDT next Wednesday, October 3. Also arriving on Xbox Live Marketplace this week is the second expansion pack to Hudson's Bomberman Live.

Sure you can. If they're going to offer discounts, they could at least be discounts on good games.

Why does it still cost more than the majority of games on XBLA?
