Warhammer Online Delayed Until 2008

According to the latest Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning newsletter, Mythic's fantasy MMORPG has been delayed. Originally scheduled for a late 2007 release, the game is now due during the first quarter of 2008. GameSpy has a Q&A with Mythic's Mark Jacobs about the delay.

While slightly dissapointed, I've yet to play a new MMO that couldn't have benefitted from another quarter in the testing/performance tuning cycle. This will probably result in a much better game at launch.

I think they can delay it as much as they want and it will still feel like it could have benefited from another quarter of testing and tuning.

MMORPGs are just complex beasts and the final tuning pretty much cannot be done until stuff goes live, for real.
