Late Night Consoling

Mar 14, 2005 10:00pm CST tags: Capcom, Square Enix, Games: Console, Shaba Games
T-Minus 10 days and counting. At this point, my brain is creating the hype. I just become really eager to get my hands onto the hardware. If you've been shopping around for a PSP, Engadget compiled a list of all the deals going on around the Internet. If all your local game stores have filled up their pre-order queue, check if your local Blockbuster has a Game Rush. I know they recently had a bump in their allotment. Try your best to avoid buying store-created bundles. Don't support that awful trend!

  • Mysterious Trademarks by Capcom, Square Enix

First up is Capcom, who trademarked "Pro Cast" with the USPTO. They already released a title called "Pro Cast Fishing" for the Xbox, so maybe that one isn't too much of a mystery. However, with Square Enix, they trademarked "Journey of the Cursed King." A new title? The sub-title for Dragon Warrior 8?

  • Euro DS Launch Numbers

    [ds]

Preliminary numbers for the UK launch of the Nintendo DS are in and it's projected to be the best launch ever for the country. The handheld pushed 87,000 units, which is 20,000 more than the GBA did in its first week. Three DS titles cracked the top ten for the week despite being available for only two days. They were Super Mario 64 DS, WarioWare Touched!, and Rayman DS. More official numbers should be coming in shortly.
