Whee...it's time for an update to the ShackReviews database. This week we've got four new games, including (after a one week wait) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. As usual, if there's a game you want to review but don't see in the database, check first and then submit it! (And don't blame me if a game you never submitted isn't added!)

My gaming this week was all KOTOR, all the time, but nevertheless I installed a whole lot of new hardware in my game PC yesterday, specifically a new motherboard, CPU and a brand new case. The video card is still a problem, but I've decided to wait until ATI's next card gets announced before upgrading. Hopefully that will be soon, as Half-Life 2 is a lot sooner than most people realize, and I need to be ready. The new hardware's all working great, and I've seen significant performance increases across the board, although I am having some heating issues. Nothing drastic, and the individual components seem to be cooled properly, but the general system temperature is higher than I'd like it to be (it hit 40C yesterday a few times, and tends to hover around the 37-38 mark). I was sort of anticipating this, as my case only has two fans pre-installed, and I've ordered a couple of extra fans to compensate. As of right now all this new hardware is primarily being used for my Wife's Sims addiction, but any day now my traded-for copy of Battlefield 1942 should arrive, and I'm very much looking forward to finally getting to try this game out.
