FileShack Friends & Rewards

Mar 27, 2003 8:15pm CST tags: zGeneral News
Got a new toy for all you folks who have or are considering FileShack Mercury service. The FileShack friends and rewards system. As I mentioned last night it's pretty straight forward stuff, you refer someone to subscribe to Mercury and then you get some free service of your own.

- Refer 1 subscriber, you get 1 month free service
- Refer 4 subscribers within the same calendar month, you get 6 months free service
- Refer 6 subscribers within the same calendar month, you get 1 year free service
- The top referral grabber of the month gets a $50 gift certificate ($100 if you refer 10 or more)
- The top referral grabber of the year gets a $500 gift certificate ($1,000 if you refer 100 or more)

How do you refer someone? Just send them to your custom referral page. http://www.fileshack.com/accounts/?YOURNAMEHERE . Your referral page is listed on your Mercury control panel page or you can use this cute form. The gift certificates are for a popular game e-tailer that we've worked with in the past I'm sure you guys can guess, we'll list their name once all the graphics etc are finalized.

Oh, if you sign up and refer a friend right away, you still have to pay for the first month of service, there is just too much room for abuse otherwise. Sorry about that. Also, if you get Mercury service for free or at the discounted Speakeasy rate, you cant use the friends system either, bummer dude!
