Impossible Creatures Stress Test

49

An Impossible Creatures stress test for the first 20,000 people to download is available at FilePlanet. This is not the public demo, but a 'stress test' limited to 20,000 people. The folks at GSI once again had DMCA warning emails sent out via a PR company before the file was even released telling 3DGamers and ourselves that we would be in violation of the DMCA if we hosted the file. (See RavenShield demo and then retraction) However... (This is the good part) I have managed to get a hold of Microsoft PR :) Microsoft was simply not aware of Fileshack's capabilities and scale, and I was assured that we would be included in considerations for all future releases of this nature. Yup, that is good news for everyone. We're just making our way through the publishers one at a time here, and so far they have all been very receptive including the mighty Microsoft. The full demo of Impossible Creatures will be released in early December and available on Fileshack.

That's pretty sweet, Steve. Nice to see Fileshack getting the respect it deserves.

And Fileplanet (hopefully) getting the smackdowns it deserves. Companies that send DMCA notices deserve a painful death.

I second that. Fileplanet and GSI be damned. I thank the lord daily that I haven't been to a "planet" in about 2 years.

        Long live the shack!
