Final Fantasy XI Unveiled

Core Magazine managed to get some more details on Final Fantasy XI, the first online FF RPG. Word is you will need the Hard-Drive/Ethernet bundle for the PS2 to play, though access to the PlayOnline network is free. Also check this image of a keyboard/gamepad hybrid.

Square invited players from across Japan to test the game in anticipation of its release this spring. Albeit shown in playable form at the event, attendees were able to purchase a full 'beta testing kit' which included the game, network manual, and PlayStation 2 network adapter for 10,000 yen ($89).
