Nintendo put out another PR
saying how well they are selling as they compete with Microsoft for releasing the most
impressive sounding PR. They go over recent sales figures etc saying Smash Brothers has
sold over a quarter million in just 9 days. But here is the stat that really grabbed me:
The video game industry overall is hotter than ever, with total 2001 retail revenues now on track to exceed $8 billion for the first time ever (+19% vs. 2000).
19% growth in sales for the entire industry in just one year? Great googly moogly!
