Some sad news tonight...VM Labs, makers of NUON, the system that, well...had
no chance in hell,
has
declared bankruptcy. The system was all but dead on arrival, but I still
had some small hopes that it would find a niche among DVD players because it
featured some of the old Atari Jaguar developers. Hopefully someone will make
a PC or Xbox NUON emulator, so I can eventually play
Tempest 3000. Anyone
else remember when VM Labs had an image of Mario's crushed hat on their website
underneath their logo? This was back when the system was only known as "Project
X."
Console Game of the Evening:
Ninja Gaiden for the NES. This game doesn't
hold up all that well, but it's still a reasonably fun side scroller. The Atari
Lynx version's worth a look as well.
