A PC.IGN preview of the
multiplayer mode of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is now available free of charge, after being available only to IGN Insiders since Friday. The preview goes over the different maps (11 of them), the different game modes, the range of weapons and a few other things. New screenshots are included as well and IGN even mentions the game is actually done and just waiting on it's release on January 22. A multiplayer demo of the game should be out pretty soon
We do remember the four maps for the objective-based games. The one everyone knows is Omaha. After playing hours and hours and hours of the Wolfenstein counterpart (from the demo), we were really interested to see 2015's take on the experience. Overall, the Medal of Honor level is much larger both in terms of overall size and in terms of features. The craters in the beach are occasionally shelled -- a fact I discovered immediately after hoping into one to avoid the fire of German machine gun emplacements up in the bunkers. Bangalores are scattered about the beach for your breaching pleasure. But like in Wolfenstein getting to the top of the cliff is only a means to your true end, blowing up two massive guns. The charges must not only be placed but also defended from enemy disarmament.
