Late Night Consoling
- This news item at GameSpot caused a stir last night...while SNK has been all but closed down for some time now, it's finally official - the last nail has been driven into the proverbial coffin. Hopefully they'll sell their assets to Capcom or something.
- Also at GameSpot tonight is the first glimpse at SWAT: Global Strike Team, the upcoming Xbox SWAT title from Argonaut, which at one point was known as Kleaners (and had nothing to do with the SWAT franchise).
- Those interested in the GameCube hardware will no doubt be interested in this interview with ATI's Greg Buchner, where he talks about the evolution of the GC's GPU.
- The wacky GameCube title Pikmin is out in Japan, and so detailed previews are making their way online...here are links to the previews at The GIA and Cube.IGN.
- PS2.IGN's review of Tony Hawk 3 is online, and while it's not a perfect 10, at 9.7 it's pretty darn close.
- This may be a sign of desperation, but VM Labs is making their NUON platform open for amateur developers.
- Pocket.IGN has their review of the GBA port of Doom online, and it's pretty favorable.
