The Xbox Launch

Jan 08, 2001 9:28am CST tags: Xbox
Well, the big news during the weekend was of course the unveiling of the XBox at CES in Las Vegas. If you weren't there here's what you missed. First of all, several images from the console and some of the games in development right now. The games that were mentioned being in development at CES were Oddworld, Malice, Tony Hawk Pro Skater2x and WWF Raw Is War. More should be announced between now and E3 (which is in May) and E3 will see even more titles announced.

Xbox has a new interview with Microsoft's J Allard asking him about the console and the controllers, who mentions comfort was more an issue than innovative design which is why the controller design might resemble that of the Dreamcast somewhat. Gamespot has an even longer list of games that are in development (but weren't officially announced) for the box. Also the official XBox site has video interviews and the webcast from Saturday when Bill Gates unveiled the console.
