In an interview that's running on Well Rounded Entertainment tomorrow (but they couldn't wait with this news), American McGee is confirming that his version
of Alice is heading to the silver screen. It took 10 months of negotiations but Dimension Films have picked up the rights and apparently Wes Craven (director; Scream series, Nightmare On Elm Street) and John August (script writer; Go, Charlie's Angels) are already attached to the project. McGee will be one of the producers.
The long-standing rumors can now be confirmed. American McGee's Alice - the EA action game that has the industry buzzing - is headed to the big screen. McGee tells Well Rounded Entertainment that after 10 months of negotiations, Dimension Films has committed to make a film version of McGee's "Dark Wonderland." And judging by the talent already attached to the project, Dimension has high hopes for this one.
There will be more details tomorrow.
