It told me that I didn't meet the minimum requirements.
I have
----------
Athlon XP 2100+
1.5 GB DDR (3x512) 333FSB
2x36.9 15,000 RPM HD's
160 MBps SCSI Adapter Card
GeForce 4 Ti-4600
DVD Burner, Floppy, etc.
Win2k w/ SP 2.
Yea I'm pretty sure I can run it.
anyway i found a major bug, dunno if this has been mentioned, but if you have a radio message up(not sure which one), and with the glock/starting weapon(only tested this on my own as I couldnt join other servers), on the syndicate(not sure again about the other team), it turns it into a machine gun with unlimited ammo.
and the usual cant change mouse sensitivity/crashes on changing name etc...
this game does not work. you can't join servers, people can't join your server. you can't change mouse sensitivity, you can't even rebind some keys. it looks nice and pretty, but it is certainly not playable, don't waste the time/bandwidth. also the system process managed to take up 240 megs of memory, wtf.
just a heads up for those of you thinking about downloading

It's a little buggy for an MP release.. I couldn't change my settings so it ran smoothly, but from what I saw it looked great. It was kinda jerky at 1024x768 (on a p4 2.4 w/GF2MX) but it's probably my video card.
The walking motion feels very solid. They could tone down the motion bob a little bit, but it feels very real. You seem to move forward in small spurts, just as if you were walking.
The maps look amazing. Once they get all the kinks out.. it should be a cool game.
on the Global Ops beta, at least it ran right?
Bwahahahaha
2.0 patch is sweet ass

and no, I didnt get it to work with win 98
Into the Recycle Bin with this one, Chief.
256MB PC133 ram
GF256 DDR 32MB
game runs really choppy for me. lots of texture swapping going on.
models are awesome.
lighting is awesome.
running around feels solid. you can feel each step connecting with the ground, and you feel like you're actually running forward. it makes it feel like you're really in the world.
reload animation is freaking cool. your player reaches back to grab a clip, and your view moves a little to the left because you have to twist a little to reach back.
sounds are great. textures are super sharp.
i just wish it was less buggy. it seems like the game only runs in 1024x768 even if i choose 640x480. grr...
please, please, please fix the bugs, oh lone developer. this game will totally kick ass if it gets repaired.
Another NWO tip.. the F1 key will show you real time FPS and poly stats. Don't forget the "N" key to buy stuff.
There is a driver update on creative's site dated 1/2002 which is newer than the files I had (11/2001). That helped a little. Now the game runs with NO SOUND, rather than sorta hanging like it used to.
MS sound hardware test wizard for microphone still returns an error though. Again, turning down acceleration to "basic" in DXDIAG fixes this, then I can turn it back to "full" after the calibration is complete.
I (heart) Creative Labs! "Labs" filled with driver writing geniuses!

Sounds Crap-Tacular!
I haven't read a positive comment yet!
Yay for crappy beta releases, YAY!!!
you'd think there would be some sort of internal testing before releasing something for the first time
Started my own server, couldnt buy any weapons and I was lagging like I was on a bad 56k. Tried to change the video options while the game was running, but I dont think it made any difference, the video mode never actually changed.
Couldn't join any servers, it just sat there on the loading screen, and it crashed on exit twice, and crashed when I tried to bind to ';'.
The server browser is incomplete.. it doesnt show the pings to any servers either. Seems like this demo just isnt close to done yet.

- Crashed when I tried to bind a key to semi-colon
- Hung twice on quit, had to fire up Task Manager to shut it down.
- Readme is sparse as hell, I can't figure out how to get or buy weapons.
Someone please tell me how to actually play the damn game, and I'll make some judgements then.

HW Shadows not working right, netcode not working right, and I saw no difference between using OGL or D3D at all. The detail sliders don't appear to be working but the gamma/bright/contrast ones do. Needs alot of work but as a test it at least works - although I guess not for everyone.
P3 1GHz/GF3/512MB RAM
oh well
I know a test is to work out bugs, and find faults, but I think the biggest fault with it is:
Did the developers even try to play their own MP test?
There's too many problems to list, too many obvious bugs, too many shortcomings. It's not worth the time.
