There are three or four rabbits that live in my yard. They're incredibly tolerant and almost let you walk right up to them and pet them. I can count on seeing them about once a day and everytime I do I say "hi" and smile. I was driving home from my girlfriend's tonight and as I pulled in I noticed something on the side of the road in front of my house. To my horror one of the poor rabbits had been run over. It's eyes were still open and it looked as though some of its intestines were spilled.
I feel incredibly sad now. It was practically a pet. I know my mom is going to cry when I tell her tomorrow.
