First Post!
As I mentioned a few days back I was having problems with Xbox Live & wireless, this time my laptop is giving me troubles.
Until a week ago, the wireless on the machine was working fine. Then, there was a brief internet outage when the ISP was working on DNS servers. Since then, it refuses to get an internal IP while on wireless for some reason. If it's actually wired, no problem, internet works. Back to wifi, it connects to the access point, it says the signal strength is great, but nothing works.
It either says its IP is 0.0.0.0, or starting with 169.* (Internal IPs should be starting with 192. instead). I have no idea what's going on here, and do an ipconfig /renew seems to lock. I'm not ready to blame the Linksys wifi access point, as my desktop PC connects to it as well and works just fine. Any suggestions?
