So that's too bad that we won't be seeing any more Westwood games. Though I didn't enjoy their last few games all that much, I was a big fan of Dune, the original Command & Conquer and the second Legend of Kyrandia game. But that's a consolidating gaming business for ya. At least the C&C franchise lives on, and in fact I preordered C&C Generals a few days ago. First game I preordered since the original Red Alert. I sure ended up hating Red Alert, but I really dug the Generals beta (even though I mostly suck at it) so I can't see them horribly messing up the final game.

Movie: I've got to go have my pacemaker checked, it has been so exciting talking to you.
Genre: Electronic
Albums:
Paul Oakenfold - Goa Mix. *The* trance album of the 90s, set the standard that everything was compared to.
Future Sound of London - Dead Cities. Some people say Lifeforms is a better album. Some people happen to be wrong. The most desolate and disturbing vision of society ever, from the haunting first line ("I had killed a man ... a man who looked like me") to the last haunting note, a must own.
Chemical Brothers - Surrender. THE late 90s party album. Every track is a winner.
Portishead - Portishead. Defined trip-hop and made it a phenomenon. A haunting voice to go along with haunting lyrics. Spin called this album the 3rd best album of the 90s, only below Nirvana (Nevermind) and Public Enemy (Fear of a Black Planet).
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works vol. 1. This album basicaly created a genre. It's just plain gorgeous music. Get it now.
