Oooooh my, yeah so we managed to be pretty much the first outa the gate with the patch versions for Half-Life and Counter-Strike this evening. Which in turn meant the entire internet collapsed on top of us. Something like 7,000+ users online (when we could count, it prolly went higher) and averaging over 700 requests per second. Once Fileshack is complete we'll have a setup to balance out the load among mirrors, as Seattle is just hammered but New York is hardly being touched. Dallas is pretty stable now too. We've settled down to 500 requests per second now.
