As in...how do you stay interested in the same game time in and time out? This is more of a question directed to Halo hardcore people who have effectively been playing the same formula since 2001. OK, so they tweak the mission structure, add a couple new bizzwhangs here and there, a new feature, new weapon set, maybe a refined HUD (HOW POSITIVELY REFINED!) But here we are, the same enemies running around in the same patterns doing the same thing. They even look the same, sound the same. Missions involving areas of drop-ship clashes or sequences of baddies you have to get through are thes ame. Weak vehicle gameplay to attempt to diversify the experience, yep that's the same. Maybe a warthog ATV here, a tank there. Yep, it's a halo game. No innovation since 2001. Same game, same gameplay. Just because your not Master Chief in this one doesn't mean there's really anything different about it. Well, maybe the fact you don't have to gulp down the stale oatmeal Halo story, Cortana, all that horseshit - maybe that's an improvement.
I hate to really be gulping the haterade this morning but I honestlyh couldn't take an hour of this game without falling asleep and promptly sent it back to gamefly. And this thing was full price. What am I missing here you guys?
