Sega has canceled the Aliens rpg that was being developed by Obsidian. Would anyone have played the game if it was similar to Mass Effect?. You are a platoon of USMC marines that have a ship like the Sulaco instead of the Normandy. There are different levels in the ship. The loading bay would allow you to learn different fighting abilities and train with new weapons. Or you could drive a power loader and learn new tech abilities. The medical station would allow you to heal and learn new medical techniques to use in combat. The bridge would have a star map that would chart different galaxies and show the rate of the Alien infestation. You can travel to galaxies that have planets and try to fight the Alien infestation in the galaxy. Each planet could have a colony or a Weyland-Yutani outpost. Could you imagine driving the APC to the atmosphere processor? If you land on a planet it would show the dropship take you to the planet and you drive the APC around. Different classes would be based on smartgunner, flame thrower, medic technician, etc. Instead of landing at the Citadel there would be Gateway station.
Short version - Would you play the Aliens RPG if it was similar to Mass Effect in game design?
