Microsoft has announced that Coreplay's space shooter Ion Assault and CXTM's side-scrolling beat 'em up The Warriors: Street Brawl will debut on Xbox Live Arcade alongside Nhilistic's Zombie Apocalypse this Wednesday, September 23.

Zombie Apocalypse Dawning Next Week

Nihilistic's downloadable omni-directional shooter Zombie Apocaylpse will premiere on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next week, publisher Konami revealed today.

Coming to Xbox Live on September 23 with PlayStation Network following September 24, the 800 MS Point ($10) Geometry Wars-like title sports 11 different weapons, ranging from assault rifles and chainsaws to explosive-filled teddy bears.

Zombie Apocalypse Screenshots: What You'd Expect

No longer a mere rumor, Zombie Apocalypse has been unveiled by publisher Konami. Developed by the Conan veterans at Nihilistic, it's an omni-directional shooter in which players use both analog sticks, a la Geometry Wars, to control movement and aiming.

The downloadable Xbox 360 and PS3 title challenges gamers to survive 55 days of zombie slaughter, with support for up to four online or offline players. Included are 7 different environments, 11 weapons (yes, there's a chainsaw), and survivors to rescue. Read more »

Rumor: Nihilistic Developing 'Zombie Apocalypse' for XBLA, PSN

Developer Nihilistic, responsible for last year's beat-em-up Conan, is working on a new downloadable zombie-themed game, according to a Destructoid report citing sources and resumes.

The "arcade-style" game, said to be titled "Zombie Apocalypse," is supposedly being targeted for release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The game will also feature some type of online support. Read more »
