1Shaba Studios, the developer responsible for Spider-man: Web of Shadows, was shut down today by owner Activision according to several reports.
Though the doors of the San Francisco-based studio were closed, Kotaku put the number of terminated employees at just 30 out of the 61-strong team.
Providing a break from today's continuous BlizzCon 08 coverage, publisher Activision has provided a new trailer for Shaba Games's Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, which arrives on October 21 for PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP.

Publisher Activision has released new footage from Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, showing off the title's retooled combat system.
Developed by Treyarch, Shaba Games, Amaze and Aspire, Web of Shadows is planned for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, PC, Nintendo DS, and PSP. No release date has yet been announced.

Activision announced that the legendary comic hero Spider-Man is set to return in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (PC, PS2, PS3, X360, Wii, NDS, PSP), developed by Shaba Games and Treyarch.
