With Garnett Lee at a secret undisclosed location (called Portland), it's up to Jeff Cannata and Xav de Matos to carry the big show once again. This week, freelancer Billy Berghammer and Red 5 Studios founder and CEO Mark Kern join the party to discuss Red 5's Firefall, tell some World of Warcraft stories and discuss some more Dark Souls. Xav also spills the beans on a recent interview with THQ executive VP of Core Games Danny Bilson, and talks about the future of Relic's Space Marine franchise and teases some hands-on with Saint's Row: The Third. We wrap it up with questions from the audience and finishing moves.

Relic Entertainment has already proven that it knows how to leverage the Warhammer 40,000 IP into compelling real-time-strategy titles with the Dawn of War series, but Space Marine marks the first time the developer has attempted to bring players into the 40K universe at boot-level. Equal parts shooter and brawler, you'll slaughter thousands of enemies on your journey as a Space Marine.

Although Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine has yet to find release, publisher THQ has already announced downloadable content for the game. Thankfully, it's going to be free.
"Exterminatus" is a co-op mode that allows up to four Space Marines to fight against "hordes of alien enemies in a score based fight to the death." Yes, it's Warhammer's take on Gears of War's Horde mode.

With its September release approaching like a pack of belligerent Orks, Relic's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine was shown off again at a closed-door press event last week. It had been a few months since I first previewed a few sections of the game's single-player campaign, but this time out, I got to wade neck-deep into Space Marine's competitive multiplayer component to duke it out in some 8v8 matches with other curious journalists.

The 'grimdark' future of war is coming over all-arcade in Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, a twin-stick shooter announced today by publisher THQ. Developed at THQ's internal Digital Studios UK team, Kill Team is due on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in July. No word of a PC release, sorry.
Playing as one of four Space Marines classes--Sternguard Veteran, Techmarine, Vanguard Veteran or Librarian--players are sent to stop an Ork Kroozer from attacking a Forge World. It'll support two-player split-screen co-op, for you to bring a chapter buddy to the slaughter. Six different chapter skins are on offer, so you won't get stuck in a boring one like the Ultramarines.
