The Uncharted movie adaptation is getting a shake-up, with new writers and a pending new director. Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, who co-wrote Disney's National Treasure, are giving the script a rewrite. The story outline has Nathan Drake searching for El Dorado.

Rumor: Uncharted: Golden Abyss getting multiplayer CCG

Uncharted: Golden Abyss is the first game in the series to release without multiplayer since the original, but possibly not for long. A purported screenshot from a glitch shows that you might be able to battle against your friends, though not in the way you'd expect. The image seems to indicate a collectible card game (CCG) style mode.

Rumor: PlayStation Vita launch game prices

A purported leak from GameStop has given some prices for the PlayStation Vita launch line-up. For the most part, the numbers seem on-par with the games of its chief competition, the Nintendo 3DS. The one exception is Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which is nearly priced the same as a console release.

Vita games 'too large' to be download-only, 4GB quoted

If the PlayStation Vita is from the future, why does it still use game cartridges? Well, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida says it's a matter of practicality. "We believe the time is still not right to go download-only as a platform," Yoshida said. "Some PS Vita titles, like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, will be close to 4GB in size, which could be too large to download for consumers 
who do not have a fast broadband connection."

Uncharted: Golden Abyss video showcases Vita graphics, controls

One of the marquee titles for Sony's upcoming Vita handheld is Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Developer Bend Studios has decided to take the Uncharted franchise to new territory for its first portable outing, taking advantage of the handheld's many control inputs. For example, Drake now carries a machete which can cut away obstacles by swiping on the touch screen. Gimmicky? Or clever? You can watch the video to decide for yourself.
