In an effort to drive some re-subscriptions to its trio of MMORPG games, BioWare Mythic is running a 14-day "Return of the Legends Re-Enlistment Celebration" for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Dark Age of Camelot, and Ultima Online.

The Game Developers Conference Austin show is now Game Developers Conference Online and as such, awards will be handed out, "honoring the accomplishments of the creators and operators of online games." As such, nominations have been announced in 8 categories.
Riot Games' League of Legends is leading with four nominations, followed by "We Rule (ngmoco), Champions Online (Cryptic), Dungeon Fighter Online (Nexon) and Nightclub City (Booyah) with three award nominations apiece." In celebration of the 12th anniversary of Ultima Online, EA and Mythic are allowing former players to reactivate their accounts for a temporary free trial of the game's latest content.
All former Britannia citizens can reactive their accounts and play up through October 16. Original user name and passwords should work--though if your account was placed in bad standing, it will not be available. Read more »

The next expansion pack for Electronic Arts' long-running PC MMORPG Ultima Online will debut as a digital download on September 8, developer Mythic confirmed today.
Bundled with 30 days of game time for $39.99 or available individually at $29.99, the Stygian Abyss expansion adds Gargoyles to the game's playable races, new enemies, and new areas, including the title's "largest dungeon area ever." Read more »
