The TRON 2.0 website is now offering an updated v1.042i patch for the game. Though it was available before, the silly Windows XP-only requirement has been removed so Windows 98/2000/ME users can patch as well.

A newfangled TRON2.0 patch has been made available. You can check out the change list and download the patch on FileShack. There is a v1.030 update as well as a full cumulative update. It's recommended to just grab the full update.

Monolith has released the v1.040 patch for TRON 2.0, adding the three maps and deathmatch modes found in the previous DM Update. The new update is for Windows XP only, but an unofficial patch for Win98/ME/etc is available as well. Thanks Blues News.

Buena Vista Games today announced that Monolith's TRON 2.0 has gone gold, though the game still over a month away as it will ship to stores August 26.

Developed by critically acclaimed Monolith Productions, TRON 2.0 is an action-packed story-driven game that takes place in present day, approximately 20 years after the events of the film. Playing as Jet Bradley, son of ENCOM programmer Alan Bradley from the TRON film, gamers are digitized into cyberspace and will race on light cycles, battle corruption both inside and outside of the computer world, and explore locations including the Internet Hub, Firewall, Corrupted Server and Light Cycle Game Grid.

Well, a multiplayer demo of TRON 2.0 has been released. The demo came from a cover disk but it seems there is no objection to its online release. The 160mb download offers two levels: one available as tutorial level with bots, or Light Cycle mode with 8 other people, and one 16 player Disc Arena / Disc Arena Tournament map.
