Microsoft's Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson) has announced the dates and prices for this year's Summer of Arcade promotion on Xbox Live Arcade. The prices mostly come in at the standard $15 (1200 MSP); the one exception is Fruit Ninja Kinect, which goes for just $10 (800 MSP). Read more »
Microsoft has unveiled the lineup for this year's Summer of Arcade promotion, which it uses to highlight the latest and greatest Xbox Live Arcade releases. It'll kick off in July, bringing a swish new XBLA game for five consecutive weeks.
This year's Summer of Arcade games will be Toy Soldiers: Cold War, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Bastion, and From Dust. A sequel to the Signal Studios-developed Xbox Live Arcade exclusive title Toy Soldiers has been revealed, featuring a more modern setting. Entitled Toy Soldiers: Cold War, the game transports the diorama-sized army men from the horrors of miniature World War I and into the conflict of the '80s.
The game was revealed in an email from Microsoft promoting its upcoming PAX East line-up. The game will be on display alongside other XBLA titles at Microsoft's Arcade and Homefront-sponsored booth in Boston. PAX East kicks off this Friday. Read more »
