When it first announced the franchise's new direction, Ubisoft revealed that a 30-minute live-action film prequel for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was in the works. Today, a teaser for the film--titled Ghost Recon: Alpha-- was made public by GameTrailers after debuting at Comic-Con 2010. You can watch the teaser after the jump.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will sport four-player co-op through the full campaign along with stereoscopic 3D support, though no platforms were singled out for 3D support.
The game was scheduled to be released this fall, but was recently delayed to 2011 and will be released between January 1, 2011 and March 31, 2011. A multiplayer beta is planned for owners of Splinter Cell: Conviction on the Xbox 360. Read more »

Initially slated to arrive sometime before Christmas 2010, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been delayed into 2011, maker Ubisoft revealed today.
"Due to a very competitive environment, we decided to move the game out of the Christmas quarter, and into the March quarter," CEO Yves Guillemot explained today during a conference call with investors, as reported by Joystiq. Official Xbox Magazine's and Microsoft's Inside Xbox video feature details the classes and future tech used in Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Warrior.
Of particular note is that classes will share powers with others in close proximity. For example, the Recon class can share its cloaking technology with nearby allies.

Continuing to slowly dole out details on Ubisoft Paris' Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, publisher Ubisoft has sent out a fact sheet detailing some of the features and gameplay found in the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions.
According to today's announcement, Tom Clany's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is "scheduled to ship Fall 2010." No differentiation between the various platforms was made, though Ubisoft has suggested the PC version could arrive later. Also in the works are Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP versions that sport "a different approach." Read more »

Ubisoft has released a swish new Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier cinematic trailer, blending footage of real actors and places with CGI to show off its vision of near-future warfare with technology including adaptive camouflage and combat bots.
The PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions are by Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter dev Ubisoft Paris, while Wii, PSP and DS versions are being developed elsewhere. Read more »

In case yesterday's barebones announcement of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier left you a little uncertain as what to expect from the latest in the tactical shooter series, publisher Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer which... doesn't explain much.
Explaining that "technology evolves, threats evolve and yet war is constant"--a little less snappy than Fallout's "War. War never changes."--the trailer reveals fancy tech including adaptive camouflage and shows flashes of locations all over the globe. Read more »

Elaborating on this morning's announcement of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that the military shooter is coming to more than PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
"Ghost Recon, it will be multi-platform. It will be on all the platforms: PC, PS3, 360, Wii and PSP and [Nintendo] DS," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot responded today after an investor asked him to clarify the title's platforms. Read more »

The new entry in Ubisoft's tactical shooter Ghost Recon known previously only as 'Ghost Recon 4' will be named Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and be released during the 2010 holiday season, the publisher announced today.
Few details were given, other than it's coming from Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter developer Ubisoft Paris and a press release boasts of "cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes." Read more »
