Downloadable games can be given new life when they get thrown back into retail stores. Following the footsteps of Microsoft, Sony appears to be compiling random PlayStation Network games into retail Blu-ray releases. The first will include four games, all from different genres and developers. In fact, the only thing that these games share is a publisher: Sony.

But what is Tokyo Jungle, you ask? If you haven't been following, it is a quirky Japanese-developed game that has you trying to survive a post-apocalyptic world where humans are gone and animals run free. You can select from a variety of animals and do whatever it takes to survive: hunt animals in an overrun subway station, find a mate, and continue your lineage.

Tokyo Jungle is one of those Japanese games you hear about, blink in astonishment, then shake your head, thinking it'll never be released in other countries. Playing as animals from a Pomeranian dog to an elephant, you fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo overrun with creatures including deer, lions, chicks, crocodiles and, er, dinosaurs. And it's coming westward, E3 has revealed.
