Sony gave some stage time to indies at its presentation tonight, starting with Jonathan Blow to show off The Witness. He said that during the release window, the PlayStation 4 will be the only console--implying that it will be on PC too, and eventually other consoles.

Braid follow-up The Witness may well see a console release after all, creator Jonathan Blow has said. Previously, Blow had said the time and effort that would go into making it run well on the dated Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 were "not worth it for us."
In a huge departure from Braid, The Witness is a 3D "exploration-puzzle" game set on a enigmatic deserted Island. Why ever it's there, and whoever was there before, the island is crammed full of over 200 puzzles to find and solve.

The Witness, the next game from Braid creator Jonathan Blow, is described by the mang himself as "an exploration-puzzle game on an uninhabited island."
Blow has setup a development blog and released the concept art seen above. The first entry of substance details Blow's deliberations over choosing a graphics engine that would serve the game's graphical style and lighting requirements without wasting too much memory on textures and use too much processor time. Jonathan Blow, designer of acclaimed puzzle-platformer Braid, has revealed through job postings that he's entering development of a new 3D "puzzle-exploration game."
Blow describes the project as "a puzzle-exploration game that is philosophical, and quiet, and is being made for reasons other than crass profit motive." Bless his socks. Read more »
