The third entry in Electronic Arts' lifestyle simulation series The Sims will be released on PC worldwide in 2009, the company, as promised, revealed today.
Running on a new engine that is said to have been in development for almost three years, the sequel is being developed at EA Redwood Shores. A set of nine screenshots accompanied the announcement. Read more »

More information on EA's highly anticipated lifestyle simulator The Sims 3 is due on March 19, according to a recently launched teaser site.
EA has been rather tight-lipped about the latest title in one of its most successful brands. Two years ago, the company noted its hopes to release the game within its 2009 fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009, though recent EA presentations have not mentioned the project.
