Another quiet week of PlayStation Store updates, outside of Zen Studios' downloadable shooter The Punisher: No Mercy.
The FPS title set in the Marvel universe promises six multiplayer modes--Vigilante, Team Deathmatch, Punish the Punisher, Elimination, Time Trial, Survival--and supports up to eight players online. A story mode offers four levels and supports two player co-op.

We haven't heard much of Zen Studio's PS3 downloadable shooter The Punisher: No Mercy since its head-exploding trailer, but we now know it's coming July 2 for $9.99.
Based upon Marvel Comics' vigilante, The Punisher boasts a singleplayer campaign with a whole host of Punisher characters and comic strip cut scenes by artist Mike Deodato, with multiplayer offerings of 8-player team and solo deathmatch modes.

The first screenshots from Zen Studios' downloadable PlayStation shooter The Punisher: No Mercy have been unveiled over at the official PlayStation.Blog.
Inspired by Marvel Comics' The Punisher character, the Unreal Engine 3-powered shooter will sport both single and multiplayer gameplay. No release date has been announced.

Zen Studios announced The Punisher: No Mercy today, an Unreal Engine 3-powered FPS bringing the gritty Marvel comic book hero to the PlayStation 3 for some online deathmatch action.
According to Zen director Zsolt Kigyossy's post on the official PlayStation Blog, "you'll see the Marvel Universe through a first-person perspective in some intense arena-based multiplayer action." Read more »
