The King of Fighters 13 joins PlayStation Plus library

Tomorrow brings yet another refresh to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. King of Fighters 13 will be free to download for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Released last year, KOF13 is the latest addition in SNK Playmore's long-running fighting franchise. A testament to its popularity, it was the second-most-watched game at EVO 2012.

King of Fighters XIII patch to improve online play

Wonky online play can ruin one of life's simplest pleasures--punching people in the face--so SNK Playmore is working to improve online offerings in The King of Fighters XIII with an upcoming patch. On top of fixing "a number of rare glitches," the patch will help resolve laggy multiplayer by improving connection evaluations.

"The patch will seek to make the game's network infrastructure more consistent for users, ensuring that the evaluation given connections is more accurate to the actual play experience," SNK Playmore and publisher Atlus explained.

King of Fighters XIII DLC plans detailed

With The King of Fighters due to launch next week, publisher Atlus has revealed a little of its downloadable content plans for the latest in the long-running fighter series.

The DLC releases will kick off "shortly" after KoF XIII launches for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 22. The most interesting revealed so far is "fan favorite" character 'Iori with the Power of Flames' from KoF '98, who'll arrive on December 7, priced at $5 (400 Microsoft Points).

The rites of succession are arcane and many, so Atlus needs a little longer before it can reveal The King of Fighters XIII to the world. The publisher announced yesterday that SNK Playmore's sprite-tastic fighter has been delayed from October to November 22.

King of Fighters XIII coming to North America

Fight fans, rejoice! Publishing hero Atlus has announced during E3 that it's bringing The King of Fighters XIII, the latest in SNK Playmore's long-running 2D fighting series, to North America this holiday season for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Atlus boasts that KoF XIII is "the HD entry in the series that fans have been waiting for." You can expect the return of "fan favourite" fighters Mai, K', and Vice, "vastly improved network functionality," a less-restricted camera perspective, characters standing out better from the backgrounds, new super moves, and more.
