Two in-game images (from last night) and a teaser trailer have been released for Obsidian's Dungeon Siege III, which will be published by Square Enix.
Although Square Enix purchased the intellectual property for the series from creator Chris Taylor and Gas Powered Games, Taylor is involved in the project, offering feedback and criticism to the team at Obsidian. Read more »

A few surprises were tucked away within Square Enix's "E3 2010 Lineup," with the publisher officially announcing that The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded will be on display--meaning the pair will be released in North America on dates to-be-determined.
A continuation of the long-dormant action-RPG series Parasite Eve, The 3rd Birthday is coming to PSP, promising "hideous creatures" that "descend on Manhattan" and the return of series star Aya Brea. Read more »

Fallout: New Vegas and Alpha Protocol developer Obsidian is working on a third entry in the action RPG series Dungeon Siege, publisher Square Enix has announced, with "input" from Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege 2 developer Gas Powered Games.
"It has been a great pleasure to collaborate with Obsidian," GPG founder and Dungeon Siege designer Chris Taylor said in the announcement. "They are a very talented developer who really knows what it takes to build a deep and engaging RPG experience, and I can't think of a better group to continue the Dungeon Siege series." Read more »

Responding to the apparent confirmation of a third Dungeon Siege entry, Gas Powered Games founder Chris Taylor has stated he was only speaking hypothetically when he spoke of the game.
"When asked if we were considering taking lessons learned from Space Siege back into the Dungeon Siege [role-playing] series, the answer was, yes," he told CVG. Read more »

Speaking to Eurogamer, Gas Powered Games founder Chris Taylor has revealed that the company will develop a third game in the Dungeon Siege series.Gas Powered Games is currently working on the sci-fi RPG Space Siege (PC), and design on that game will influence Dungeon Siege 3. "There will be some things that are very much like Dungeon Siege 1 and 2, but some things will be simplified. I am done with multi-character parties; I really think that it's all going to be about a single hero. It's too much to manage," Taylor is quoted as saying.In addition to Dungeon Siege and Space Siege, Gas Powered Games is also known for last year's ambitious strategy game Supreme Commander.
