Tekken 5 Online Add-on Arrives on PSN

The online add-on for the downloadable version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection hit the PlayStation Network today for $9.99. The add-on plus the original game can also be downloaded as a combined package for $29.99. As previously reported, the enhancement allows Tekken fighters to battle online in four modes: Opti Match, Quick Match, Custom Match, and Friend Match. Practice and Survival modes are also included in the addition. Other notable downloads include Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and demos for three sports titles: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008, All-Pro Football 2K8, and NASCAR 08.

Tekken 5 PS3 Goes Online Later This Year

First revealed in mid-June, the online add-on pack for Namco Bandai's PlayStation 3 release of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection will be available in North America later this year. As with the core game, the add-on will be a downloadable purchase through the PS3's online PlayStation Store. Priced at $9.99, it brings online multiplayer to the game, complete with voice chat and four different modes: Opti Match, Quick Match, Custom Match, and Friend Match. An online news ticker keeps players apprised of noteworthy movement on the leaderboards. The new pack also adds Practice and Survival modes to the game, both of which were notably lacking from the original release.
