GameSpot has a Stetchkov Syndicate Q&A up, asking producer Paul Pawlicki more about the SWAT 4 expansion pack. Questions are about the difficulty level, the new melee attack, getting through a level with all your squad mates living at the end, VoIP and Irrational getting snapped up by Take Two.

Word from Vivendi Universal Games is that the SWAT 4 expansion pack The Stetchkov Syndicate has gone gold. The $19.99 expansion offers 7 new missions, a 10 player co-op mode, new weapons and equipment, VoIP chat support and more. Look for it February 28. Thanks manlyman.

Vivendi Universal Games has sent out this press release, announcing that SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate is in development. Due out in the first quarter of 2006, The Stetchkov Syndicate adds 7 new singleplayer and multiplayer levels, 10 player (2 x 5 player teams) co-op support, new weapons & equipment, a new multiplayer mode and more. Word on this VUGames forum post via 10David reveals some details about the upcoming SWAT4 expansion detailed in Computer Gaming World this month. Irrational in Australia is plugging away for a early 2006 release.

Sierra has released the first patch for SWAT 4, updating Irrational Games' tactical action game to version 1.1. The update adds three new maps, an SDK and fixes several game issues.
Fixes for several exploits * Fixed UMP .45 JHP ammunition to have correct ballistics properties * ToggleBehindView console command no longer works in multiplayer * Fixed potential wallhack exploit * Fixed recoil negation keybinding exploit * Fixed exploit that allowed players to make themselves appear to be arrested
