Deep in the annals of Nintendo history is a special edition of Donkey Kong, titled the "Original Edition." It included the Cement Factory stage absent from the NES title, and it's never been offered for sale. If you want to get your hands on this rare bit of Nintendo history, you have your chance. You'll need a Club Nintendo account and you'll have to buy a game, first.

Nintendo plans to continue the relationship it started with Beyoncé in her attention-getting 2009 ads for Rhythm Heaven. Clothes from the fashion line she co-created with her mother, designer Tina Knowles, will soon be available to download and use in Style Savvy for the DS and DSi. Players will be able to add five designs from the Deréon clothing line to use in creating personalized looks to sell in their virtual boutiques. Read more »

Having previously noted its plans for "deep and interactive downloadable content to be released on a regular basis post launch," Playlogic has revealed details on the first add-ons coming to its just-released PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 action game.
"4 Brand New Playable Characters" and "3 Brand New PvP Arenas" will be provided as an "exclusive" free download to those that register their copy of the game at the official site. The offer is open for the first 90 days the game is out, so you have 89 days left. Read more »

Think you're a bad enough dude to go into combat wearing just a crown and a leaf? You'll be able to find out in a few months, as developer Playlogic has dated the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of its dismemberment-filled Unreal Engine 3-powered take on fairytale rivalry for an October 27 release in North America and October 23 in Europe.
As Playlogic explains, Fairytale Fights sees a squad of characters "whose glory days have long since passed"--Jack, Naked Emperor, Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White--"set about on their quest to regain their lost fame and fortune from the fairytale kingdom." Read more »

As the new Fairytale Fights trailer begins you might wonder why a pleasant fairytale puzzle-platformer needs a fully dynamic dismemberment system and such a beastly title, but all becomes clear once the chainsaws are drawn and limbs start flying.
