Shack PSA: Star Trek, Texas Cheat 'Em on XBLA Wed

Naked Sky's top-down shooter Star Trek DAC and Wideload Shorts' minigame-filled card title Texas Cheat 'Em will both hit the online Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday May 13, Microsoft said today, confirming recent word from the games' respective publishers.

Both games will sell for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) a piece, with Star Trek offering class-based online multiplayer for up to 12 players and Cheat 'Em supporting up to 8. Read more »

Star Trek DAC Dated for XBLA

The upcoming downloadable Star Trek title, Star Trek DAC, is now set for a May 13 release on Xbox Live according to an MTV report.

The arcadey title will see players choosing between the Federation and Romulan factions to battle it out in top-down space maps. Each faction has three classes of ships with which to make interstellar war: flagship, fighter and bomber. Up to 12 players can compete online across traditional deathmatch modes and base-centric variants Conquest and Assault. Read more »

Star Trek DAC Screenshots, Trailer Set Phasers to Fun

Zaptastic new Star Trek DAC screens give the first proper look at the downloadable top-down arcade action title, which sports twelve-player multiplayer and "kicking ass".

Star Trek Movie Game 'DAC' Coming to PC Too

In addition to the previously confirmed PS3 and Xbox 360 releases, Naked Sky's downloadable movie tie-in game Star Trek DAC is coming to the PC as well.

Both the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of the 12-player top-down space shooter will arrive shortly after the Xbox 360 edition launches in May, Naked Sky and publisher Paramount Digital Entertainment said today, with no pricing details provided.

First Star Trek D.A.C. Screenshots Released

First, there was a name. Then, there were details. Now? Now, we have screenshots.

Developed by Naked Sky Entertainment, Star Trek D.A.C. is slated to arrive on Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade download around the time that the new Star Trek theater hits theaters on May 8. The PlayStation 3 version will hit PlayStation Network a bit later.

We still don't know what the heck "D.A.C." actually stands for, but at the very least, we now have some idea of what Naked Sky's downloadable Star Trek game will entail.

It's a top-down, multiplayer-oriented space shooter, the studio told Joystiq. Up to 12 players can compete online as the two factions--Federation and Romulan--face off. Of course, there's also a single-player mode where you battle against AI bots. Read more »

A new Star Trek game apparently tied to the upcoming J.J. Abrams movie is set for release in May, according to a notice included in Star Trek Blu-rays found by Trekmovie.

The game, titled Star Trek D.A.C., is being developed by Naked Sky Entertainment. The independent studio's first project, RoboBlitz, debuted on PC and Xbox Live Arcade in 2006. Read more »
