Continuing in the tradition of Soul Calibur IV, which included Star Wars icons Darth Vader and Yoda as playable characters, Namco today revealed that deity-slaying God of War protagonist Kratos will be playable in Project Soul's upcoming Soul Calibur PSP.

It marks the latest cross-game cameo for the grief-driven chain-wielding anti-hero, who has also appeared in LittleBigPlanet and Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds via downloadable content. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 won't be the only platforms receiving Tekken 6, as publisher Namco Bandai has announced that the upcoming fighter is headed to PSP, along with a PSP-exclusive entry in the Soul Calibur fighting series.

The PSP rendition of Tekken 6 is due out this fall alongside the other versions, IGN reports, packing additional stages and content. As with the first Tekken release on PSP, Dark Resurrection, the game supports local wireless, but not online, multiplayer. Read more »
