PC users are getting a triple-dose of Sonic today, as Sega is bringing two games and a piece of DLC to the platform all at once. It might seem like these are just suddenly popping up on you out of no where, but it's Sonic, and that's kind of what he does.

Both Sonic CD and Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 are available for the first time on Steam. The service is also hosting a Sonic sale so you can speed it up on the cheap. Plus, you can grab the Casino Night Pinball Stage for Sonic Generations.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 changes detailed

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 may have been put on hold in favor of Sonic Generations, but the game is still scheduled for 2012. Now Sega is detailing a few of the changes coming to this second installment of the episodic franchise. For example, Tails and Metal Sonic will make their return to Episode 2.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 rated in Korea

Sega seems to be preparing the second episode of Sonic the Hedgehog 4, if a Korean rating is any indication. The downloadable titles were put on hold this year due to Sonic's anniversary celebrations with Generations, but Sega has previously said Episode 2 is coming in 2012.

The second episode of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is still a long way off, as Sonic Team's Takashi Iikuza has said he is hoping to release it in 2012. The development is stalled as the team focuses on getting Sonic Generations out this year, but Iikuza claims that was always the plan.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 Coming in October

Sonic's long-awaited return to his side-on platforming roots is finally almost nigh as Sega's delayed Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is now due in October.

IGN reports that the downloadable platformer will be priced at $15 (1200 Microsoft Points, 1500 Wii Points), zipping onto Wii on October 11 before bouncing onto the PlayStation Network on October 12 then rolling into the Xbox Love Arcade on October 13. Sega has yet to reveal the price for the iPhone edition, which is due out on October 7. Read more »

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 iPhones in Delay, Trailer

To soften the blow of news that Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 has been delayed, Sega has released the first gameplay trailer for its retro side-on platformer and revealed that the mysterious fourth release platform it's been teasing is the iPhone.

Co-developed by Sonic Team and Sonic Rush developer Dimps, Sonic 4 returns to the series' roots with an episodic '2.5D' platforming romp that features no irksome playable cats, dogs, rabbits, frogs, hogs, pangolin, newts, hawks, dolphins, badgers or snakes. Read more »

Another new batch of screens for the Episode 1 of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 are here, showing the blue-bristled hero taking one of his leisurely sprints down by a beach at sunset.

In familiar Sonic fashion, the new episodic adventure, co-developed by Sonic Team and Sonic Rush developer Dimps, asks players to help Sonic scramble the plans of the nefarious Dr. Eggman. No word on the walrus. Goo goo ga joob. Read more »

New Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 screenshots of Splash Hill Zone show exactly what one would expect in the first zone of a side-on Sonic game--brown chequered earth, bright green grass, leaping robotic piranha and running upside-down. Bliss.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Announced

Sega has revealed that the new '2D' Sonic game codenamed 'Project Needlemouse' will in fact be Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 for Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Sega previously confirmed that the zippy blue hedgehog himself will be the star and only playable character in Sonic 4, downplaying the vast array of characters added in recent games such as gun-wielding hedgehogs and cats from alternate dimensions. Read more »
