SOMA video brings underwater scares

SOMA, the new horror game from Frictional Games, creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, will be set underwater. Finally, another reason to be scared of the ocean!

"Most of the ocean is devoid of sunlight and inhospitable to us. The differences in pressure between the surface and even a modest depth of 100 meters is enough to turn a human into mush. That pressure, that depth, is nothing compared to the true ocean deeps," creative director Thomas Grip teased on the PlayStation.Blog. "And as if this isn’t enough, the creatures living there seem like they're from another world. Gigantic squid, luminescent fish and creatures that are all mouths and teeth are only the start. If you dive down any distance you enter into a realm of monsters."

Soma live-action trailer teases another unusual artifact

Amnesia: The Dark Descent creator Frictional Games isn't quite ready to talk about its new game Soma, but has released another live-action trailer to tease a little more unsettling sci-fi.

Following on from a weird computer which forsees your death, this time it's exploring a smashed-up robot which seems to believe it's a human--a duplicate of a man who's quite alive and well. It's all looking increasingly SCP Foundation-y.
