Read more »Raven's Kenn Hoekstra updated his .plan file with word that the Soldier of Fortune Platinum edition is shipping today. If you want the 5 new multiplayer levels that are included, you can download those here. There's also an official 1.07 patch, which you don't need if you already had the 1.07f beta.
Read more »Raven's Kenn Hoekstra updated his .plan file saying the Platinum edition of Soldier of Fortune has gone gold and is off to manufacturing. Platinum contains the original retail game with the Gold edition extras, 5 new multiplayer maps, Strategy Guide in PDF format and a preview trailer of SoF2. This is mostly meant for people who don't have the game yet. But I'm guessing if you still don't have SoF at this point you really don't want it.
Read more »HomeLan is reporting that a new version of Soldier of Fortune will be out in stores soon. It'll be called Soldier of Fortune: Platinum Edition, which includes the Gold edition of the original game, a trailer for SoF2, 5 new multiplayer maps and the strategy guide in PDF format. Kenn Hoekstra says "I'm pretty sure the Platinum upgrade will be released free for regular SoF and SoFGold buyers". It should be out around the end of August.

Read more »SOF Center is hosting a new mod for Soldier of Fortune 1. This beta release of the Green Wall Mod "is based around custom everything and takes place in a jungle". Yup, that's about all the info there is.
Read more »Activision sent word that a new Soldier of Fortune patch will be released soon. This patch will replace the WON code for Gamespy multiplayer code, because as of August 10 WON/Flipside will stop hosting SOF. There will also be other multiplayer server fixes in the patch.
Read more »Creative has posted the third and last EAX download for Soldier of Fortune. This last download adds EAX effects to the single player levels of the game. Previously released were EAX enhancements for the DM and CTF levels.
