As though simultaneously developing three games didn't pose enough of a challenge, the developers behind Sniper: Ghost Warrior have announced that they're working on yet another first-person shooter, bringing the studio's tally of in-progress shooters to four (via Eurogamer).

Although it had a shaky launch, City Interactive's Sniper: Ghost Warrior has some intense, well-crafted moments. Those looking to create more moments--so long as slow-motion and bullets are involved--will soon have the chance to download five new multiplayer maps for the game.

A new Sniper: Ghost Warrior trailer shows a little of the sneaking and creeping in City Interactive's shooter and a whole lot of shooting people in the face. As video games do.
As our Garnett recently experienced, Ghost Warrior features all-out, close-range firefights in addition to the cunning long-distance stalking and sniping. There are also a variety of yet-unrevealed multiplayer modes with support for up to sixteen players. Read more »

Though the rather descriptive title of "Sniper: Ghost Warrior" tells you all you need to know about the game, that hasn't stopped developer City Interactive from issuing forth a trailer for the PC and Xbox 360 game it's planning to release sometime this spring.
Said the company: "The Sniper: Ghost Warrior trailer was created using all in game graphics and actual gameplay to truly illustrate the visually gripping graphics and lush world you will explore as you take your position and eliminate your targets." Read more »

Plenty of players choose a scoped rifle as their weapon of choice online and many shooters include sniping missions for a change of pace. Sniper: Ghost Warrior takes that role and makes it the centerpiece of an entire game. When I sat down to check it out my first concern was whether a position typically thought of as a support role could carry the starring load. The design team working on the game is keenly of aware of this and plans to tackle it with a tempo that balances the tension of a single shot with the action to keep the game exciting.
