In the report, Capcom noted that sales increased to 4.7 percent during the fiscal year (which ends on March 31, 2011), while net profit dropped 39.9 percent. Read more »

Producer Yoshinori Ono has revealed that there are currently no plans to bring Super Street Fighter IV to the PC due to piracy in an interview with 4Gamer (via Andriasang).
Ono does realize that piracy of the PC version gave the game a wider spread, but Capcom could not continue with the title being "free" in certain territories. A PC release wasn't ruled out, but it would hinge on better anti-piracy protection. Read more »

Capcom, Evo, and G4 have just announced that G4tv.com will stream 45 hours of live coverage via Stickam from the Evolution 2010 Championship Series of fighting game tournaments, which takes place next weekend from July 9 to 11 in Las Vegas, NV.
Now, selfishly, I must announce that this is incredibly awesome as I initially pitched the idea of G4 coverage to Capcom and Seth Killian back in January while checking out an early build of Super Street Fighter IV when I was still with G4. I attended Evo 2009 and even competed and saw first hand how exciting the series is. Of course, I must give it up to G4, Capcom, Evo, and Stickam for getting the deal done and for bringing full stream coverage and television coverage to the fighting community. Read more »

The follow-up to last year's hit fighting game Street Fighter IV has finally arrived, bringing 10 new characters, a host of new online modes, and balance changes. Coupled with all of that is a reduced price-tag coming in at $40 for the PS3 or Xbox 360.
All of the new characters are fun and fit in nicely. Only two are completely new, Juri and Hakan, with the rest returning from previous titles. Damage has been reduced across the board leading to longer battles and many of the new characters find success in being offensive leading to less turtling. Every character is unlocked from the beginning. Read more »

Last night, I was playing some Super Street Fighter IV multiplayer with a fellow member of the press until legions of people began joining our lobby. I don't know if these are people playing downloaded copies or lucky owners who found a store breaking street date, but it was surprising how many people are already playing this online.
Now, to dive into Monster Hunter Tri.
