Skylanders Giants announced, features bigger figures

Activision announced Skylanders Giants today, following rumors sparked by domain registrations. The new game will add twenty more figures to the line-up, including the titular "Giants" and figures that light up. Figures from the existing Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure will be compatible as well.

'Skylanders Giants' domains registered

It looks like another dose of toy-driven gaming could be in the works. On January 19, six new domains were registered--both in the U.S. and internationally--that contained some reference to "Skylanders Giants" therein. Could it be a sequel to Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure?

Spyro Returns as Activision's Game/Toy Crossover

At Activisions Q4 2010 earnings call, the company announced an impending toy cross-promotion to be unveiled at Toy Fair. Today the company revealed Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, a multi-platform revival of the adorable dragon with interactive toys to be sold in stores like Toys 'R' Us.
