Sins of a Solar Empire hits Steam, more Stardock titles coming

After selling "more than two million copies worldwide," mostly through its former digital distribution platform, Stardock and Ironclad Games' Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity is now available on Steam.

According to Stardock CEO Brad Wardell, the March 2011 sale of its digital download technology Impulse to retailer GameStop means there is no longer "any conflicts of interest in offering our titles to other digital distribution channels."

Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity v1.2 patch released

Stardock and Ironclad Games released the version 1.2 patch for Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity today, which includes a fairly hefty list of tweaks, bug fixes, and improvements. Among the adjustments are an improved Pirate system, balance adjustments for the TEC, Advent and Vasari, along with performance and AI tweaks.

Trinity bundles the original Sins of a Solar Empire with its two expansions, Diplomacy and Entrenchment. The company also recently announced plans for Rebellion, a new standalone expansion. Read more »

Ironclad Games is poised to release Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity on February 9. This bundle pack for their real-time sci-fi strategy hit includes the original standalone title, as well as the 'Entrenchment' and 'Diplomacy' expansions.
