Given the countless singing games that have come out over the years, from Karaoke Revolution to SingStar to Rock Band, it's surprising that Wii U launch game SiNG Party can miss the mark so much. Developed by DJ Hero's FreeStyle Games and published by Nintendo, SiNG Party does its best of making a karaoke experience that takes advantage of the GamePad--but fails to make a singing engine worth playing.

QUICKTAKE: FreestyleGames, the makers of DJ Hero, return with more music-based fun without all the bulky peripherals. The Wii GamePad is used by one player, but this game can entertain numerous players. SiNG has the potential to be a breakout hit and could be one of the best party games in years.

Nintendo announced a music game as part of its E3 press briefing, in development under the working title SiNG. The game has one player act as the main performer while the others follow on-screen prompts to dance, sing, and clap. The game is being developed by FreeStyleGames.
