One expects to face plenty of unpleasant things during a visit to Silent Hill--deep fog, skinless dogs, twisted nurses, spectres, dark gods, and filthy toilets are all part and parcel of the fun--but game bugs are simply not on. How good, then, that patches are in the works for the recently-released Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill Downpour.
Return trips to the creepy town of Silent Hill have been delayed slightly, publisher Konami announced today. Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Silent Hill: Downpour, and the Silent Hill: HD Collection will all still be available in March, just a bit later than initially expected.
Konami Digital Entertainment's bundled high-definition remakes of the original Silent Hill games are planned for a March release at retail for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Now, it appears as though the games included in the Silent Hill: HD Collection are likely to see individual digital releases on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well, at least in Europe.
Fans of the psychological and spooky, flip open your calendars to March and search for a pen--I'd try plunging your hand down a filthy toilet. Konami's trio of new Silent Hill releases, Silent Hill: Downpour, the Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill: Book of Memories, will all launch in that macabre month, the publisher has announced.

How long does it take to port two PS2 games? In the case of Silent Hill: HD Collection, the answer is "a while." Konami's HD remaster of Silent 2 and 3 was originally scheduled to release in September last year, but has since slipped. While it was expected to released in January, Konami has confirmed that the survival horror re-release will now ship in March.
"The game will now be released in March," Konami confirmed. Retailers, however, have pegged a more specific date for the title.
The Silent Hill HD Collection, previously announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, will be coming to Xbox 360 as well due to fan demand. The game is still due extremely soon, but the team is working hard to hit both platforms at once.
